Stitchville Boutique: Sumptious and Rare Yarns
The vast majority of yarns offered here are sustainably produced and fairly traded. Some of the yarns are also organic.
The choice includes rough, hand spun and hand dyed sheep wools from an IFAT associated co-operative in Chile, exquisite natural alpacas from the Bolivian Asarbolsem co-operative and a Peruvian co-operative, divine organic fairly traded Angel Touch Alpaca from Peru and a gorgeous range of luxurious Mirasol yarns (raising funds for another fair trade project in remote area of Munani in Peru). We also stock exquisite silks, bamboo and precious wools from the Japanese supplier Habu - all produced to order and according to age-old eastern textile traditions. Although Habu yarns are not fair trade, Stitchville's commitment to fair trade means that we are pledging to invest 5% of net profit from the sales of Habu yarns into a fair trade co-operative selected by us.
If you would like to gain a better understanding of how fair trade makes a difference, edited with special interest in the textile industry, please download our awareness raising flyer.
We also are the sole distributor for a complete range of rather special knitting patterns, almost all of which are for seamless garments. Are you ready to take your skills to the next level?!
We hope you will love these products as much as we do!
Please note that we offer free p&p on ALL orders.
